This product is worth every penny. I was able to throw together and modify a drupal site in one night. The live view and code inspect are priceless in this latest version. 3.0 out of 5 stars Same annoying bugs as DW CS4?
I started using Dreamweaver with version CS4 last year, which is quite buggy. What can you say about a product whose internal spellchecker doesn't recognize contractions, and flags words like "I'll" and "I'm" as misspelled? If Adobe would fix some of the bugs in CS4, maybe I'd consider upgrading to 5. But at these prices, no thanks.

This product is worth every penny. I was able to throw together and modify a drupal site in one night. The live view and code inspect are priceless in this latest version. I highly recommend it if you want to make sophisticated, interactive websites. The included BrowserLab is so cool because it simulates many different browsers and how your site will look on each. It allows you to overlay (onion) the different sites to see minor subtleties you might not otherwise notice (or major ones that you would). The Site Management is super easy as well, much improved over previous versions. Definitely get this.

So far I am so thrilled to finally have Dreamweaver in my software collection. I had been using another program to maintain a website (not my choice) and it was SO inefficient to me compared to what I had been used to. I built my first web page years ago from scratch using html. Then I added Front Page and built the main parts with that and manually modified the html coding as needed. I have always heard about Dreamweaver and our new website that is being built that I will be maintaining, was built where Dreamweaver will be the program used to maintain it. I also purchased the Dreamweaver CS5 digital classroom to get up to speed more quickly. I've only had a little bit of time to play with it, but I can tell using CS5 will be far easier and user friendly, take Front Page and manual coding to the next level!! Very pleased.

I really love using this software to develop my website. It makes things so much easier and smooth. At first, the interfacing was intimidating, but then I changed the view and got right down to business!

Other CS4 bugs: The URL entry box (that turns text into a link) will not always accept a URL. Sometimes the auto-complete tool for code works, sometimes it doesn't. Etc.

I would have preferred to make no rating, but Amazon requires a rating on a review. So I went in the middle because I don't own CS5. But I think it's fair to ask whether such annoying bugs have been fixed. It's also unfair for Adobe to put out a new version without fixing such basic bugs in DW CS4.
