About the Author

Steve Johnson has written more than 45 books on a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Office 2007 and 2003, Microsoft Windows Vista and XP, Microsoft Expression Web, Apple Mac OS X Leopard, Adobe Photoshop CS3 and CS2, Adobe Flash CS3 and 8, and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. In 1991, after working for Apple Computer and Microsoft, Steve founded Perspection, Inc., which writes and produces software training. When he is not staying up late writing, he enjoys playing golf, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Holly, and three children, JP, Brett, and Hannah. When time permits, he likes to travel to such places as New Hampshire in October, and Hawaii. Steve and his family live in Pleasanton, California, but can also be found visiting family all over the western United States.

A well laid out book. Nice photos, orderly info and directions. Paper and binding good quality, so the book lays open conveniently--no fighting to keep pages open while you use it as a reference! Covers all (or at least most) bases well, with clearly-stated directions.

If your are serious about PHOTOSHOP 6.0 this is the book to have at your side when editing photo's. The best I ever bought and I bought several 6.0 books.

Steve Johnson's guide to Photoshop Elements 6 is concise, explicit, adequately illustrated and free of cheap humor. The language is clear, the tips, suggestions and recommendations - as well as the Keyboard shortcuts - are useful and eventual repetitions are seldom noticeable.The graphic presentation is, overall,very good. Sometime, some of us, could benefit from an increase in the size of photographs used, in the limits of the available space. A practical,valuble fine book, indeed.
