As with all the Classroom in a Book "classes," this one was helpful in learning the basics and encouraging me to move beyond that. I really learned a lot and would recommend this to anyone just starting out with Premier Elements. The amount of time needed for each lesson varies depending on your reading/comprehension speed, as well as the amount of extra time you take working through the lessons, and I found their approximate times to be a bit longer than I really needed, but not unreasonably so.

I found the book to be thorough and easy to understand, if not exciting. A little on the dry side, but a great resource is how I would describe this text. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to understand more about Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.

All Classrooms in a Book are extremely helpful. My husband and I are doing the lessons together; I read, he operates the computer. My only negative comment is that the authors often write for users of previous versions, taking for granted that we already know how to perform a function. Someone brand new to this edition will have to fill in some blanks and read between the lines. M.Erickson

The book is good and thorough, though a little tedious. The program is only marginally functional, but if it really worked this would be a valuable reference.
