Jacob Rosenberg has created a tool that is a must have. I have been editing on my computer using Premiere Pro for about six month. It has been a slow process since, I'm learning as I go. Well, slow learning process is a thing of the past. I have had this book less then a week. It is amazing how it has simplify my learning process. No longer will I struggle learning new techniques because it explains everything in simple to understand terms.

If you are looking for a book to learn Premiere Pro for personal or proffesional use. This is the one, you can't go wrong, I know I haven't.

Jacob Rosenberg is the best teacher I know to explain you even more complicate stuff with practical examples taken from the real world.In the first two hundred pages he explains you in a "human" language ALL the interface,the nuts and bolds from Premiere Pro 1.5 so that even a beginner can learn the techniques from this awesome program.The last 300 pages are a real bonus for every videoshooter and NLE editor because he reveals greater possibilities about several techniques like chroma & luma keying,effects titling,voice over,color correcting and much more.The layout,the color examples(a request since years!!!)and the outstanding well written text are certainly worth the price.An excellent compagnion CD gives you some free bonus lessons with clear explanations regarding techniques developped in the book.

Believe me you don't need another book to learn Premiere Pro!

I can only imagine the amount of time and effort devoted to this book. Over 500 pages of content!

Every aspect of this book was done properly with great attention to detail. The layout is inviting, the color in the book is beautiful, the topics are laid out well and covered very clearly...very intuitive.

The most impressive aspect of this book is the practical application of the software demonstrated with Jacob's own real world projects and experience. It's great to learn what the features are, but understanding, why, when and how to use them turns an informative book into a productive one.

Nobody is more qualified than Jacob to detail the intricacies of this elaborate application. He is the preeminent expert on Adobe Premiere and has been for quite some time. I've known Jacob for years now and it's obvious that he does quality work in every respect. This book is no exception.

This is THE book to have if you want to get the most out of Premiere Pro 1.5. Mr. Rosenberg not only tells you what to do, but he takes the time and effort to tell you why, so that you can apply it to your own project.

Anyone who wants to write a how-to book ought to use this one as the guide and standard of how it is done correctly - for the reader, not just to get a book out to make some extra money quick.

Buy this book and devour it. Then go make some great videos.

I read this book as someone who had never used Premiere before, nor really any other editing program. This book showed me techniques how to achieve the results I wanted and the practical method to use in premiere to achieve this. It is a great book, filled with lots of useful information that is easy to read and quick to comprehend, even for a total beginner. Don't get me wrong though, it does not only cover the basics, it covers most of your editing needs within premiere even advanced topics.

Mr. Rosenberg has done a great job writing this text. The book walks any Premiere user through version 1.5 from project beginning to a finished video to be proud of. I use the text as a reference guide when working on projects, especially when I'm stuck. Reading and using this book has saved me dozens of hours of work and also an unimaginable amount of frustration.

Thank you Mr. Rosenberg for putting this together for all of us sitting in front of these computers with great ideas and walking us thorugh how to share those ideas with others.

This book Is THE BOOK for Learning Premiere Pro Jacob Rosenburg Presents the material in clear manner that virtually anyone can easily understand he takes you step by step through editing with premiere pro and shows you how to get the most out of it

Highly reccomended

As one who is using Prem-Pro for the last 8 month, this is really the best book around - It doesn't concentrate on basics, but instead teaches you real tricks that the professionals use. It is a must book for anyone who wishes to work the way pros do. I recomend to complement it with the Total-Training for Adobe Premiere Pro.

Having a bit of experience with Adobe Premiere won't hurt but isn't neccessary to find this excellently produced book helpful. There is enough info for a newbie to begin using the program and for an advanced user to learn some new tricks and refine their skills.

I was quite happy with the material covered and was suprised at how well the info was provided. This book reads better than any "manual" I have ever seen. I would recommend this highly to anyone looking to gain experience with Adobe Premiere pro 1.5.

I knew absolutely nothing about Premiere Pro 1.5 or any other editing program. I tried reading the first couple of chapters and still knew nothing. Rosenberg makes too many assumptions about what a person already knows. It wasn't until I had a friend come over and show me how to get started, that I could go back and use this book. Even then, though, Rosenberg will tell you to use certain buttons or screens, but not tell you where to find them.
