3.0 out of 5 stars Good treatment of multucultural & gender issues, November 8, 1999

I use this book in a Psychology of Adolescence graduate course with licensed teachers. We use it as "background information"-- the chapters guide discussion and allow teachers to reflect on their own students' development. Grad students react favorably to the text.

I purchased this for a class. My uncle, who is a school psychologist, told me that Adolescent Psychology is one of the most interesting yet overlooked classes, so when it was offered, I took it to fulfill my requirement. Anyway, the topic was really interesting. This book spelled out everything in a clear and concise way. It was simple to understand, yet introduced new concepts and ideas. In addition, this text has a whole online study area you can go to and take practice quizzes, do activities and things like that. I would totally recommend that Psych professors use this text, and also, that if given the chance, students take Adolescent Psych! :)

The book came quickly and was the right product. It was in excellent order and was relatively cheap so that I didn't spend too much on books this semester.
