Product Description

For hundreds of years, Africa has existed in a state of despair Famine, civil wars and rampant disease have left the continent without hope, but for the efforts of Western do-gooders. At first, they arrived with food, bibles and the magic of penicillin; more recently they have hosted rock concerts and sent plane loads of grain. And in the last decade of the 20th century they arrived and took babies home with them. First there was Angelina, then Madonna, and now...Pauly Shore!

I love Paulie shore movies but this was highly offensive to blacks. Its not a movie, its more like a documentary and he is patting black people on their heads like they are dogs. I am surprised he made such a film.

This movie is truly artistic and funny! Those who say it is offensive simply don't understand that Pauly is not really that way! Plus, this movie is not real! It's like borat, and bruno...stuff like that! Pauly even said himself that this is not the true pauly shore! If it were, people would fall asleep! And for the people who say it's sad that the children "got hurt in the process" don't understand that the children all had tons of food for them, games, a table full of treats and snacks and their parents were there the whole time!! And Pauly truly does respect and understand Africa:) overall it was a very funny movie that was full of heart! I recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor!!!

Just watched "Adopted". I really liked it. I thought of it as a comedy, with heart.
I liked it, when Pauly was talking to people in the streets of Africa, and said he wanted to adopt a child from Africa and give them a better life in L.A.; and the response was, why adopt from Africa when there are so many American children he could adopt (ok, it's not word-for-word, but I appreciated the point that was made in that statement).
I appreciated, also, at the very end of the movie, the seriousness of adoption was acknowledged, along with these numbers: Africa, 34 Million orphans; Asia, 85 Million orphans; Latin America, 12 Million orphans; United States, 514,000 Orphans.

My personal feeling is that it's Pauly Shore's best movie yet (and that is saying a lotAdopted! I love his movies!!). I am so glad I bought it! It's a touching, irreverent comedy, with heart. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
