Adoption in the United States
This book was very helpful in providing all the necessary current and comprehensive information that I needed in my adoption search. Especially helpful were the topics on legal issues and financial aspects of adoption, medical and mental health considerations, and more than a dozen appendices providing the readers with up-to-date data.

not helpful
I did not find this book helpful at all-- talks down a lot, has outdated information in it, and way too basic. There are some great adoption books out there but this is not one of them.

This book covers areas of adoption no other book even mentions. The medical and legal sections are especially useful. Also unique is the state by state information. This is one excellent reference book.
