5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible
30 calories and 2 grams of fat,and they taste like Dove chocolates. What a great way to get Calcium and Vitamins D and K. I bought up several bags to give as hostess and Christmas gifts - the women in my family will love these.

2.0 out of 5 stars Old and Stale
Adora chocolates (especially the dark ones) are delicious calcium supplements. I thought I found a great deal on Amazon when I saw these for $5.00. However, they arrived old looking (chocolate was faded) and stale tasting. I have to say here, that Amazon was only the "third party". I've been satisfied with everything that I've purchased from Amazon directly. But, I...

5.0 out of 5 stars Blows Viactiv out of the water. *vegan*, April 10, 2007
I bought this today because my doctor told me to start taking a calcium supplement with vitamin D. I was so eager to try it that I ripped the bag open and had one right outside the store, and it tasted just like regular dark chocolate. I went right back into the store and bought a month supply for myself and for my vegan sister.

5.0 out of 5 stars Note reformulated product, August 27, 2010
By
plhgg (Arlington, MA USA) - See all my reviews
These aren't available on Amazon right now, but it's worth noting that if Amazon restocks it, the product will be different from the one people reviewed previously. The manufacturer's website states that the reformulation took place in about April 10, 2010; the main difference is that each chocolate disk previously contained 500mg. calcium, 100 IU Vitamin D, plus 40 mcg Vitamin K. The new formulation has the same amount of calcium, 250 IU Vitamin D, and no Vitamin K. The increased Vitamin D seems like a good idea, since it's my impression that doctors are encouraging people to consume more Vitamin D than the previous recommendations called for. The omission of Vitamin K makes me happy because those of us who take Coumadin (or warfarin) have to be careful not to consume much Vitamin K (which interferes with the anticoagulation action of Coumadin.

I don't notice any difference in the taste between the two formulations -- in both the old and new formulation, these are very tasty little chocolate disks, and a package of them makes a very good gift for any friend who might need calcium supplementation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adoracalcium com Tastes way TOO GOOD, February 17, 2006
These taste like expensive chocolate... There's only a touch of flatness in taste & powdery feel from the calcium, but otherwise superb. They are 100x better tasting then Viactives & no synthetics.
Warning: these taste so good, you might eat too many & get addicted, I know I do & so I don't buy them anymore! LOL
Viactives work & so do these, the calcium has cured my PMS cramps in the past when calicium in milk never did, but the corn syrup & trigycerides kill me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not vegan *, October 12, 2011
I have seen these reviewed as vegan around the internet. But they are definitely not. The product website specifically states that it contains vitamin D3 that is made from SHEEP oil. Not sure why there is so much deception everywhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars Product has changed. Image is old., April 19, 2011
By

The chocolates are tasty and so much more enjoyable than taking huge calcium pills, but adora has added magnesium to to the chocolates. The image shown is old and didn't reflect that.

Each chocolate now has 40 mgs of magnesium. Not a high dose but if you are trying to avoid it then it's frustrating that they "improved" their product.

The chocolate is tastey though not the caliber of dove, but you are taking a calcium supplement. It helps my diet to look forward to a little treat at the end of the day and gives me the calcium I need. I have not tried the milk chocolate but I am a dark chocolate fan. The price at Amazon was the cheapest I found.
