Product Description

Adorable Baby Sunscreen is formulated especially for baby and offers the same great safety ratings as our original formula with improved consistency and feel. It can be used alone or in combination with a sunscreen stick on all exposed skin. If any dryness occurs, follow up in the evening with our lightly scented or unscented baby oils or lotions.

Active Ingredient: Non-Nano Zinc Oxide - 24.7%

Ingredients: Grape Seed Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides (from Coconut Oil), Organic Beeswax, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Stearic Acid (from Palm Oil), Purified Water

Directions from packaging: Apply liberally on exposed skin 30 minutes before sun exposure, and rub in to remove the white. Reapply after swimming, sweating, after 1-2 hours of use or after towel drying.

Warnings: For external use only. Discontinue use and seek a physician if skin rash develops and persists. Rinse with water if sunscreen gets in your eyes. Decrease UV exposure by limiting time in the sun, wearing protective clothing, and using sunscreen. May contain traces of nut or seed oils.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends dressing babies in light weight clothing and brimmed hats, keeping babies under 6 months of age out of direct sunlight and when not able to avoid the sun, then apply sunscreen.

If unsure whether to use sunscreen on your baby, check with your doctor first. You may also want to test the sunscreen on a small patch of your babies skin and then wait to see if there is any reaction before applying to larger areas.

Adorable Baby Sunscreens contain a short list of natural/organic ingredients and the safest, broad spectrum sun protection ingredient available, zinc oxide. Like all Loving Naturals products they are highly rated for safety, giving you peace of mind and the ability to go enjoy the sunshine!

My 4 year old burns easily so we apply sunscreen every 45 minutes to an hour.

After plenty of research as I am a market researcher, I found this product to be the best possible product for my new baby.

It works great - it isn't thick and greasy and doesn't leave a nasty residue on your skin.

This lotion is very good for you because it contains physical spf which stays on top of your skin as opposed to the ones that get absorbed into your skin. That's why it appears white when you apply it onto your skin , but quickly it becomes clear. It's extremely rich and moisturizing and thick! I am 29 and I use it for myself , and I love it. The only CON is that it's so rich that you need to wait a little before you get dressed , and you cannot put it on your face because it's very shiny. I use it when I am going to the beach or in the summer .... or on vacations.

This is a pretty good product. Still, I don't think I will buy it again unless they do something about the packaging. The bottle is the worst idea ever. The sunscreen isn't runny enough to use the hard plastic bottle the sunscreen comes in. After it's about a quarter used, it becomes nearly impossible to squeeze anything out of the bottle. I had to constantly uncap the bottle and dig my finger in the bottle to get anything out. When it is near the end, I can see no option but to cut through the thick plastic and scrape out what's left into a different container. What a pain. There's absolutely no common sense put into the bottle make and design. I wish the manufacturer would use the same kind of tube that you see all other sunscreens use. MUCH more practical that way!

I recently purchased Adorable Baby SPF 30+ Sunscreen Non-Nano Zinc Oxide UVA/UVB 4.3 oz made by Loving Naturals for my pregnant wife (5 months pregnant) after reading about it on EWG.ORG Skin Deep Database. With only a 1 Hazard Score by the EWG it was the safest natural product I could find to help protect the development of my future child. This will also be the product I use in the summers on my child when he/she is born, but I feel adults should use it too. It definitely did the trick on our recent trip in Aruba. We both used it on ourselves and neither of us received sunburns. I was definitely out in the sun way more during the trip than she was, but I swam in the ocean, pool, and played volleyball everyday I was there and the sunscreen lasted. Although for only 4.3 oz it is extremely expensive, but it was worth the price for the protection for my wife and our future child. I highly recommend this product from ADULTS and children.

p.s. If you are going away on a trip for a week or longer, purchase more than one bottle, it ran out quick.

I really wanted to like this product based on the EWG rating. I live in South Florida so sunscreen is always necessary and I feel it is very important to have one without harsh chemicals for my child. Sadly, this is not the product for us. First, it is extremely GREASY!! I read another reviewer that said the product went on smooth "like melted butter" and that's actually a pretty good description. It was as if I had slathered my child in melted butter she was so greasy. This could also be hazardous because try holding onto a "greased" toddler. I could have POSSIBLY looked past this if the product actually worked but it does not. I applied the product to my child before we left the house and then again after I noticed her arms were looking a bit pink. We were only in the sun for a total of one hour so I should not have even had to reapply but I did so anyway (after we were about 1/2 hour into our 1 hour of sun exposure) because I didn't want her to get sunburned. I thought, or I should say hoped, her arms were pink because she was hot but after her bath at home it was confirmed that her arms did in fact get sunburned. I've used a Babyganics product that worked MUCH better in terms of blocking the sun as that day we were in the sun for almost two hours and you would never know it. There was not the slightest hint of pink to her skin with the other product. The Babyganics product was sticky though and sand stuck to it LIKE CRAZY so I went on the lookout for something better and came across this product on the EWG website and decided that despite the hefty price tag, I would give it a try. Sand stuck to this product too (and no, sand does not excessively stick to every sunscreen and I've used MANY). So this product is swiftly being return and the quest shall continue. I rated this product 2 stars bc of the safe ingredients only. The product itself simply does not work though.

I decided to give this sunscreen a shot, I don't like the chemicals in other sunscreens. However, after 2 hours in the hot FL sun (and having reapplied it every 30 minutes the entire time we were out) I got a bad sun burn, and my 1 and 3 year olds got their first sun burns ever. This simply did not work for us. I also used half a container in one day (on 3 people, yes...I applied that much to try to prevent being burned). On to try to find a new product :(. This was very greasy, but I would have continued to use it...had it actually worked.

I don't want to rain on the other reviewers' parade here but I am not a huge fan of this sunscreen. I, too, checked the EWG ratings and this does get great results for ingredient safety, UVA/UVB protection, etc. It works well. It's great for sensitive skin (neither of my children have had issues with this formula and my son's skin is fairly sensitive).

So why the 3 star rating???

1) I *hate* the container. I have only used the sunscreen for 1 week now and already have had to remove the top and squeeze and fold the (hard!) plastic container to try and get any out. If it was just softer it would be so much easier to squeeze! I feel like I won't get to use all of the sunscreen because of the packaging. And frankly, it's annoying when I am in a hurry.

2) It really is quite greasy. All of the Loving Natural sunscreen products are that I have used. My kids' hair always looks dirty/unwashed after I apply the sunscreen to their ears, neck, and forehead (where it touches their hair). Both the front and back sticky label has fallen off this bottle of sunscreen within one week of starting to use it if that tells you anything about its "grease factor"

3) It's expensive (like most of the EWG highly rated sunscreens), especially if you buy it in the summer. I bought it in April at a great price and again in June for a LOT more. (the April tube was sent to my day care so I didn't have any direct experience with it, so I bought it again to try it out at home if you're wondering why I purchased multiple tubes).

In my mind there are better options. I have tried a few others and prefer California Baby and Burn Out Kids to this brand, though it does a fine job if you can deal with the above issues.
