3.0 out of 5 stars Nice for the price
I bought this shoulder mount about a month ago and have used it twice. I like it, but of course it's not going to be top of the line quality. It is sturdy and my footage comes out nice. If you are on a budget, I would recommend this.

So far this is the best bang for the buck, and it is sturdy, for the one person who doesn't get where the parts supposed to go, I guess you shouldn't be doing film, One of the parts is an eye elevator or riser for small cameras that brings the camera to eye level, the other is a bracket with a cold shoe, that allows you to place both a mic or light near the camera when you record.

5.0 out of 5 stars camera support, June 1, 2011

I love this thing. It's a poormans camera support for a video shooting SLR. It works great and hold the camera stady even with a long lens. The price was fantastic too.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Instructions, December 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hands Free Video Support (Electronics)
I purchased this item off of Amazon, sorry i can not recommend this product. It came to me in 4 pieces and with NO INSTRUCTIONS! I called Adorama in New York and literally was put on hold for 25 minutes. They had no answers for me and literally played phone tag with me sending me to customer service then to order department then to shipping then back to customer service. The lady said if they could not find instructions on how to assemble the item then they would allow me to return it. The unit appears to be very well built and stable for my Panasonic HD P2 camera but how am i able to test it out without any idea on how to assemble it properly? Very bad customer service on ADORAMA's part both on product & phone service. Amazon is aware of this problem because i have let them know. Adorama, DON'T SELL A PRODUCT WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!!! If you must, then assemble the unit before shipping it out, just common sense!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Amable y Comfortable, November 12, 2011

Since I bought the Adorama Hands Free Camcorder I had no trouble handling my camera, although it is very small and it moved to much when holding hands. This handy little device has given me a lot of things. However, I think they should improve a little design for small cameras, for example, shorten the distance and make it work as a stedycam. It's just an idea to make this product better. thanks

1.0 out of 5 stars broken strap, October 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hands Free Video Support (Electronics)
I got this all excitted thinking my Sony FX1000 would fit and be able to do sideline football and have a steady shot, but when I got it there were no instructions what the peaces were for and the strap was to tight, I'm 6' 240 and the starp was so tight when I went to take it off it broke, it also didn't work with my camera, I could'nt look through the viewer cause it was to far away. When I told them I wanted to return it they said since I broke it, (not that it was a cheap peice of plastic that snapped) that I couldn't return it. If I could give this product and service a star it would be negative -10. Not happy.

For the cost it's great.

I'm a big guy (obese, fat, whatever you prefer). This makes it uncomfortable to use for extended periods, but since it was so cheap I'm okay with that.

I've found it also works well while sitting down and I have the shoulder rest sitting on my knee. Doing this allows me to get nice lowish shots with non-IS lenses.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bang for the buck!, January 24, 2011
This review is from: Hands Free Video Support (Electronics)
Considering the price point of this shoulder support it is well worth the investment. Although there were no instructions included it is relatively simple to assemble. The included accessory bracket is the only thing I had difficult finding a place for. The way I rigged everything up left that bracket loose and able to rotate. This was not a good thing with a microphone attached! If you are looking for a great multi-purpose rig and you have a minuscule budget this thing is the way to go.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice For The Price, But.........., December 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hands Free Video Support (Electronics)
I bought this unit to replace a heavier, bulkier and more cumbersome device that required my own padding alterations before I could use it. This unit is light, much more comfortable out of the box and collapses into such a small package that including it in your camera bag should be doable. One problem I have is lack of documentation.....actually none. Attaching the camera is straight forward, but two extra brackets are included and I have no idea where they attach or what purpose they serve. Considering the cost I would recommend this product.
