I absolutely was SO DISAPPOINTED with this product. After looking all over for a place that made the C shaped bracket, I was so excited to find it and at such a reasonable price. Man was I crushed. There were a number of things wrong with my copy.

About the only thing that I can agree with on other reviews is that The "C" part of it is surprisingly strong. What was NOT well constructed to me were the parts where the flash attaches (atleast not with my copy). I was really surprised that more time wasn't spent on making quality pieces to the C Shape. Such a great concept/idea. What a waste.

One of the mounts broke off the first time I used it, and I didn't even make it trough the entire shoot.

Also, the adjusters did not screw tight enough. My Flash did not stay put, it kept on sliding out of place on it's own.

Also, and I believe another reviewer said this as well, it is not a complete "C". The top of the C does not fit perfectly in front of the camera, it is a little off to the side, not a real big deal, but still I wonder why.

This was differently a return for me, so many issues that I didn't even try to exchange it.

I am giving this product a 2, only because of the great concept, (nice try), and also, amazons, or company's great customer service. Fast refund once I returned product. Had no problems there.
I hate leaving bad reviews and do not do it often, as I'd rather just not say anything at all. But then I realized that it is a reason that people do it, so that the next person will know the low down before buying a product.

Great product at a super price. It's small & compact but flexible & adapts to the job.

The "C" doesn't go 1/2 circle, so when a camera's horizontal on the bottom mount that top mount is at an angle to it - e.g., cam at 6 o'clock & light at 1 o'clock. It's more of a feature than a bug, I guess.

Bought this to use with my Panasonic Lumix G1 Camera and was afraid it would be too big. Turns out it is actually the perfect size for this and other 4/3 style Cameras. The unit and Cold-Shoe(s) seem to be well made for the price point. Would but it again if needed.

At first I really liked it.
After trying to use it for a grip I ordered the Adorama HD L-bracket.

Using those screws with nob and threads on both side is a great idea.
Just don't completely remove them.
I wanted to try one of the shoes on a different device and when I put it back I could not tighten it all the way?
Also the base does not fit or stay tight without excessive torking.

I'm giving this item two stars only on the account that is was quite inexpensive. It is poorly designed for holding a flash of any kind (especially a full-sized speedlite) - the entire bracket relies on the tension of one small screw to hold it in place, and you simply can't get the screw tight enough to prevent movement. Likewise for the camera mount - can't get it tight enough to not wiggle. In addition, the metal is so thin that whatever you mount on it will wiggle wildly with the slightest movement. Save your money and buy a heavier bracket.

I purchased 2 of these brackets and on both of them all of the shoes broke off. I haven't even used any of them yet and 2 had already broken off of one of the brackets. I was able to still use the brackets by using the screws on my devices that had screw mounts. I'm was very lucky none of my camera gear was damaged from this poorly made item. They were only 10 buck each so no big loss there.

I bought two of these to make a "poor mans" flash ring for macro photograph. However, the mounting points are embedded in black plastic - the weak link. I mounted my flash and the battery weight pulled the mount out of the plastic. I have used strong glue to hold it in place. Seems to work well enough now. So price to functionality ratio is okay or 3 stars.
