Adorama Step-Down Adapter Ring 58mm Lens to 52mm Filter Size

Good quality, serves its purpose.

To clear up the 58mm is the part that attaches to your lens and the 52mm is the part that becomes your new thread size. Most camera lenses are 58mm so you are stepping down a "size". If you are unsure what thread size you have, check your lens from the front and look for an omega sign, thats your thread size. DO NOT confuse with the camera focal length also measured in mm which also ranges in the 50-55mm.

Uhh... it's just a step-down ring! A good one, to be sure, and very well made. Smooth thread action, snappy clutch and gear-box, great acceleration, sporty looks, and Chicks dig it.

Not much to say about this item. It does the job perfectly. Very well constructed and the threading is flawless.

I purchased this product to replace a combination 58-55 stepdown and a 55-52 stepdown, so I was bound to be happy with the result. Still, if the adapter ring didn't have good, tight threading, which was deep enough to allow me to trust it to hold a couple of $250+ lenses, then I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I've purchased a few Adorama adapter rings, and my use of them has led me to trust their products.

If I could ask for something more, it would be for the edge of the adapter to have some type of protruding piece or grip that would allow me to trust my attaching and un-attaching to feel, alone. Even so, the solid build and tight tolerance have meant good, tight fits between my lenses and my cameras.

I bought this adapter so I could use some of my old filters and fish eye lenses on my new DSLR, this works great and I couldn't be happier!

This is very well made. 58mm male threads. 52mm female threads. Be sure that you get the correct one.

There is not a whole lot to say about this product. It seems solidly constructed and performs its function. The adapter ring screwed easily onto my lens and easily holds the filters.

I puchased the stepdown ring to use some filters that my brother had included with my camera. Overall the product is very sturdy (I do not feel as if I am going to bend it), and it works well with my super-zoom filter adapter. Great product and highly recomendable. (Also, I recived mine very quickly, the company that ships these is very efficient.)

Step down rings are pretty simple. This one worked fine, and 4 bucks seemed like a perfectly reasonable price.

The adapter is well made of aluminum with precision threads. The Nikon close adapter lenses work well with it.
