I bought this CD because of the song, "Fico Assim sem Você" for my girlfriend's birthday.
This song is really great in this CD, and I could not find it anywhere else. I like one of two of the other songs as well. But keep in mind that most of the songs are for kids.

I was going to download a couple of tracks from this CD on another site, but I couldn't do it. Just the song Saiba is worth the price of this CD and artists like Adriana deserve everything they earn. I first heard some songs from this CD a few years ago on Altas Horas and I have been looking for the CD and specifically the track Fico assim sem você ever since. I had forgotten about Saiba and listening to the sample got me excited to buy this album.

I am not a Portuguese speaker and have no idea what the artist is saying but I found the songs fun, upbeat and good to swim to (underwater mp3 player). They make me happy!

Miss Calcanhotto has got to be my all time favorite artist. I am forever intrigued with the different instruments that she uses in her songs. Her song "Borboleta", uses a toy frog to produce the croaking sound a frog makes. Her YOUTUBE videos are wonderful. BRAVO ZULU!

This cd proves that music for kids need not be silly, sung by chipmunks or fairies with high pitched voices, and still be entertaining for them. The DVD from the show is also very good.
For some more brazilian music for kids try "Arca de Noe" from all the fathers of the bossa nova and nova guardia, beautiful music for kids and grown ups |
