5.0 out of 5 stars real rock & roll
In the early 90s or even the early 70s this lp would have been high on the charts. Today unfortunately it probably won't happen. Too many good melodies and toe tappin' tunes for today's listener or buyer. Wild Light is very reminiscent of early 90s groups such as the Gin Blossoms or the Rembrandts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Opened for The Killers here in Seattle
My first exposure to these guys came as they opened here in Seattle last week for The Killers' World Tour. These guys definitely have potential, but their live act left some to be desired. Califorina on My Mind should be a huge hit. The repititous use of the f word (hate that type of characterization that presumes only one word begins with f) should not be in it's way, but it might be.
If you truly apprecitate rock & roll as it was created and not today's pabulum or the truly forgetable rap (can't imagine the musical joy in a 20th reunion where people have no recollection of the "lyrics" in top selling rap lps), then you must BUY THIS DISC. Don't let these guys go the way of groups like the Avett Brothers who put out consistantly good lps that only their core group of fans ever hear.
It remains in my heavy rotation and should be in yours.

They were the opening band for the wallflowers a couple of years ago. They were spectacular!! They outshined the wallflowers. Yes, i said it. I bought this cd then, loaned it out to a friend. Don't make that same mistake. BUy two. I love this cd, it never gets old.
Its a little bit of everything.

Wild Light is a great blend of recent musical influences (at times they remind me of Band of Horses, Arcade Fire, The Shins, Wilco). They have memorable melodies and delightful layers of sound. It's a great album to relax or jam to. Adult Nights is not only a great record to have on a road trip rotation, it's also a pretty cool album title. I'm excited to see what they put out next.

I am so glad I seen them open for The Killers at the San Jose Event Center and they even gave us a sample of what to expect before we were let in the venue. 5.0 out of 5 stars Essential, April 21, 2009
This review is from: Adult Nights (Dig) (Audio CD)
In 2007 I've seen Wild Light opening for Arcade Fire in Munich, and I really was blown away. Later I kept hearing their songs on Vienna's greatest radio station FM4.
And I am really happy they're still around.

You should check youtube to see how Wild Light play outside the San Jose Event Center, before the Killers concert.

It's a cool band, and if you liked Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Arcade Fire, Peter Bjorn and John and similar I definitely recommend Wild Light.
They play with a subtle and stoic atmosphere, that I felt was missing in the Indie Rock genre.

Greetings from Europe.

Get this album, and you'll love every lick of it! Think early Death Cab, meets Conor Oberst, meets early Love Drug, meets Killers. 5 Stars all the way, and I don't need to say more than that.

My first exposure to these guys came as they opened here in Seattle last week for The Killers' World Tour. These guys definitely have potential, but their live act left some to be desired. Not the most interesting band to watch live, but their music is interesting and worth while. They ended their set with California and I couldn't understand the lyrics enough to understand the angst of the chorus. Met with mixed results to a crowd who was later blown away by an exceptional outing by The Killers.
