3.0 out of 5 stars Functional...to an extent, March 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Helpful for adding a turning surface to the bare-footed dancer for lyrical and modern pieces; however, there is no actual padding to cushion the ball of the foot. It is simply a leather cut-out stitched into a mesh material that you slip over the toes. Toe holes are cutout of the material and can be widened by simply cutting them larger. Was not as comfortable as I had hoped for but wasn't ill fitting or bulky. Covers half of the foot, which was too much for my taste but still served its purpose for turns. Does reduce surface traction some. For the individual who is looking for a padded slip on, this isn't the one for you. If you're looking just to have something on your foot that makes turning easier, this works but does not give the look of being bare-foot.
