The complete walkthrough is accompanied by a myriad of screenshots (10 - 20 on every page!) and pictures. You'll also learn all about raising and training those lovable little Chao critters with tips on everything from Chao Kindergarten to the Chao Stadium. Flip the book over and you'll find an equally thorough 37-page guide to Sonic Advance. Backed up by tons more screenshots and illustrations, the Sonic Advance walkthrough covers characters; winning techniques; zone maps; secrets; versus mode; and the ever-popular Chao garden. All this and a free Sonic poster besides! If you own either one of these games, you just can't go wrong in picking up this Official PERFECT Guide. It lives up to its name.

SONIC ADVENTURE 2 BATTLE GUIDE - C

"Perfect Guide?" WHAT? This is an OK guide when it comes to listing the pointless animals in every level and powerups, but where's the strategy? There's a small, undescriptive paragraph for most of the missions which don't really help much. Of course, you'll eventually find your way through the game, but this is supposed to be a "perfect guide!" There aren't even maps! It's upsetting that Versus Books went out of business, but if they were to come back, then they would have to improve their strategies. A lot.

SONIC ADVANCE - B+

On the other side of things (literally; just flip the book over) is a much better guide. The Sonic Advanced guide includes amazing maps and great tips. If the SA2B guide was written like this, then I would be much happier. Versus shined on this part of the book.

Overall, I must admit that this is a great buy - two guides in one for $14.99 or less, but half of the guide is undescriptive and useless at points. Get the Prima Guide for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle because that has strategy beyond strategy. Versus makes the only Sonic Advanced guide though, and that part of the guide rocks. So I guess that you should buy this guide, but be ready to feel pretty bittersweet when you smash your Gamecube out a window out of confusion. Either that or the guide you just bought.

If you enjoy this game then this book is a complete must. It will guide and explain you in every area of the game and enable you to totally complete the game. You wont regret it!

I was lucky to get this book at a local walmart here last aprill of this year ' it was the only one left now i bet their all hard to find now ' this book has been very helpful ' i may have beaten the game but i still look at the book just for the fun of it and to find out where all the hidden animals are '
