Westclock I believe it was called. It lasted me over 25 years. It finally gave out and I got this one.
Its cheaply made and so VERY hard to wind up.. I have to use plyers to wind it because the wind up
key is so hard to turn, and it has to be wound up every 36 hours. my other clock lasted 3 days.
Very much regret buying this product and would not recommend it
IT's a bit larger than i had expected... and it's kinda loud with the ticking... but i've wanted one of these since i was a boy, before they came out with the (what used to be) fancy am/fm stereo clock radios. LOL. No, not that old... but, as a boy, i had a wind up.
I got this for storage in case the lights ever go out for an extended period of time.
I did test first and i give it 4 stars. COuld be a touch smaller and quieter. I like it otherwise.
So....extremely disappointed as I paid the money in good faith but it's failed after little use.
Please advise where I should return my clock so you can either fix it or send a replacement.
At any rate, I would not recommend this to anyone who has even mild arthritis in their hands or even to someone who just doesn't want to have to do battle in order to set and wind their clock at night.
This one I chose, is somewhat larger and appears well made. The winding knobs
are sort of "square" and with springs so strong were cutting into my fingers.
Removed the winders from the old clock and placed them on this clock - great improvement.
One problem: Been trying to adjust the "speed" of this clock - very difficult - it keeps losing
minutes over a week. Am still working on this.
Otherwise, so far so good. It's easy to read and shows up well. I Like the second hand.
