I'm sorry to say this book falls short of my expectations. I had hoped for some interesting tips/ techniques or unusual scripts - and I found none. Particularly disappointing are the example scripts which are very poorly executed - badly formed, irregular with sloppy spacing; hardly a good reference.

I regret knocking someone's work but this really did feel like a waste of money (even at its modest price).

This book continues the techniques of her first book using the same methods. She offers some more advanced alphabets and examples of how to use calligraphy to illuminate greeting cards, quotes and sayings and to make some fancy capitals. There are grids in the back as in the first book. If you liked her first book, you'll like this one too.

I especially like her method of grouping letters into families, rather than learning them alphabetically.
