*NEW UPDATES TO ACLS PROVIDER HANDBOOK *
NHCPS recently released an updated version of their Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Handbook that includes several constructive improvements to an already exceptional handbook. A few of these key features include: elimination of all formatting/sizing issues, enhanced algorithms, and improved overall quality and content of the information presented throughout. With these updates, NHCPS proudly offers one of the most effective and user-friendly ACLS Provider Handbooks on the market.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Handbook, presented by National Health Care Provider Solutions (NHCPS), is a comprehensive resource intended for health care professionals currently enrolled in an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or Recertification Course. It serves as the primary training material for ACLS Certification and Recertification courses provided by National Health Care Provider Solutions (www.nhcps.com). Although it is predominantly intended for use during certification courses, the handbook was also created to serve as daily reference material for both health care professionals and non-health care professionals alike.

Information covered in the handbook includes proper procedures and recommended instructions for multiple emergency scenarios, including respiratory arrest, symptomatic bradycardia, acute stroke and more. Full-page, comprehensive ACLS Algorithms, tables, images and other visual tools are spread throughout the handbook. All material included in this handbook are delivered in a manner intended to enhance learning in the most comprehensive and convenient way possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product - Use it everyday October 4, 2013
By drfrank
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Was hesitant at first to purchase due to some negative reviews but took the chance considering they said to have updated the product. Pleasantly surprised with the updates and the ways they addressed the issues others were facing. Bottom line, it is an excellently reformatted edition. It is utilized by our entire department
as a great guide to have available during training and to have as a
reference.

4.0 out of 5 stars Compact algorithm review April 17, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a useful compact resource, essentially listing and displaying the AHA flowcharts. As such it is useful for quick reference and revision, and thus encapsulates the content of the current "streamlined" AHA publications. It shares the characteristic of the AHA print publications that there is not much background science included, thus readers wanting to know WHY the protocols are as they are will need to look elsewhere. But in its role as an electronic portable form of the Essentials of the AHA manual, this kindle version succeeds. I will recommend it to my trainee staff.
Note that some algorithm charts are a bit difficult to read on small screens like iPad mini.

2.0 out of 5 stars Kindle version problems April 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I can only comment on the version for the Kindle; the print version may be fine.
Two main complaints: the font is very small and does not scale. It appears to be a photo image rather than a text.
The second complaint was poor proofreading - there were multiple errors, but the one that finally pushed me to return it was in the algorithm for symptomatic bradycardia: "tachyrhythmia" was written multiple times as the indication for Atropine.

5.0 out of 5 stars ACLS provider book. June 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Excellent review book, I may encourage prospective student to get this version rather than the official text. Well written and straight forward information. As an active ACLS Instructor, there was good and different prospectives on some of the topics.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good ebook. A supplement to have. April 28, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It shouldn't be taken as a primary source for the ACLS course but it's very helpful for an ease up read before and after, to me I find it convenient just to have a look around and refresh the current topics while I'm riding the bus or taking a coffee break.

This is NOT American Heart Association guidelines. Don't buy this if you are being certified by AHA (which is the program all hospitals use).
