The small book provides brief descriptions of twenty concepts highly pertinent to interpersonal communications. Though the common concepts were truely valid, likely an average person is familiar with some of them. If you are having persistent problems in your relationships, this book likely has something to offer you. If you think living with the opposite sex is impossible, this book has much to offer you. The author does use examples of people to illustrate his points with some success. The brief "workout plan" style of presenting the concepts seemed unfinished, although I realize the author targeted a "90-minute investment". There are limited suggestions offered on how to correct offending behavior. While undernourished, the book offered insight into some fundamentals of communication, which isn't a bad thing for relationships of any type.

Even my therapist was impressed and has bought a copy that she loans out to many of her other patients. After being married for 28 years to the same woman, I can truly say that this book has made us communicate better and has improved our relationship immensely. If you want to communicate better in an intimate relationship, GET THIS BOOK!

I real this book in 30 minutes and some of the examples are not sufficient to help with some problems. If all the points were taken carefully into account, yes this book will help you, but you have to put the ideas to work, or it wont do a thing.
