From the Back Cover

New Thought proponents at the turn of the twentieth century sought to use mysticism to unleash the forces of the universe in themselves. One of the most influential thinkers of this early "New Age" philosophy promises here, in this 1904 book, to show the reader "to see with the clear vision of the Spirit" and how to "achieve the peace of the awakened and conscious soul."

As the yogi reminds us, "No occult teaching is ever wasted--all bears fruit in its own good time." With this significant document of the New Thought movement back in print, now may be the time. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars There is nothing else., November 18, 1998
This review is from: Advanced Course in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism (Hardcover)
As with '14 Lessons', I have awarded 5 stars. I wanted to award 4 to '14 Lessons' to indicate the sublime greatness of this book, but could not find fault with such a concise setting out of Truth. This sequel manages to exceed that. This book is genuinely Advanced. Not necessarily complex, but absolutely complete. Although better than '14 lessons', read 14 first to properly appreciate this masterpiece. I have yet to come across a better book. In all sincerity, a gem!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book of its type ever written, July 9, 1999

This review is from: Advanced Course in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism (Hardcover)
I have studied metaphysical and new age books by all the great masters since I was 13 (back in 1968). I have never found a book that described the basics better than this jewel. Its review of "Light On the Path" is worth the price of the book and will teach you for a lifetime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Advanced Course in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism (1904), March 7, 2009
The author of this amazing text is none other than Atkinson who founded a school of mental science in Chicago, Illinois. Atkinson was a devout mystic, a man who studied Eastern religions with a passion and wrote like an angel about his findings. This book will take you far along the path of higher consciousness thinking. It will fill in gaps in your metaphysical education; it will provide thought-provoking exercises to engage your soul. This is one book that will become a treasure above all treasures!
