You get both SAE and metric sockets in one set.

American Co.'s of course are mostly SAE.

The ratchet drive is kinda small- and all subsequent sockets are also for the small jobs.

But the quality of drive and quality metal is the very best.

Do not go to hardware stores to buy ratchet and socket sets.

They either don't have enough on hand or they are going to soak you good for their impressive inventory.

Go to car stores. You may even find this set there....for less.

I bought this set to change my car battery, but I also found it worked well with disassembling the hard to reach nuts on my fence gate.

The set is fairly complete, and the nice part is, it covers many of the common nuts and bolts that are found in your car and around the yard.

The ratchet that comes with the set is small, but works well. The small form factor is actually a plus because it allows you to get into some tight spaces.

I've also used these sockets with my power drill and put a lot of torque on them. They seem to stand up to the punishment without any problems.

I'd highly recommend this set to anyone. They're great to have around for home improvement.

This 1/4" socket set is a high quality bargain when you consider the cost of the same type product from a tool truck. Snap-On, Matco, etc.

The sockets are well made and work well. Not mentioned in its description but it is Taiwan made and all of the sockets, ratcheting wrench, and extensions are made of chrome-vanadium.

Lots of sockets, way more that most 1/4" sets.
Sockets stay in position in case which is a big bonus.

I do like how the rachet works,push button to release socket.and a swith,to change the direction.I do not like a set with many very small,sockets.kind of useless for me.I do like the deep sockets,only would have liked a few larger ones

I decided to purchase this socket set after a good deal of searching. I was looking for a 1/4" set that included both SAE and metric as well as deep and shallow sockets all in one kit. This kit meets that need very well, I tried the set out while replacing the spark plug wires on my brothers 99 Sebring. The sockets performed extremely well and I would buy them all over again.

There are a couple of bad things about these tools but overall I had to give them 4 stars for performance vs. cost.

1. One of the sockets in the set has the printing on the wrong end so it sits upside down on my storage rack.
2. The chrome plating doesn't seem as nice as some of the other tools I have.

I bought this product for working on a moped. As I have very high hand strength the ratchet is small enough that shearing off bolts is unlikely. The unfortunate problem is that the deep sockets only go to 13mm and the regular sockets only go to 14mm. However the sockets are 6 point so rounding off the corners of the bolts is highly unlikely too. Great for small engine repair. If you're working on rusty stuff WD40 the heck out of them, wait five minutes, wipe off the bolt heads, then apply force. Again the short ratchet is perfect for applying minimum torque.
