This is a good seat for things like working on brakes. The bottom is a reinforced steel tray with 5 casters. It rolls pretty well on concrete.

It's about 16" high at it's lowest height. A little higher than one I had a few years ago but it's not a bad height. Lift the ring and remove a little weight from the seat and it raises to a height of about 21". This is probably a good range to use this seat for things like waxing.

The seat cover is a very glossy red plastic which makes wiping the seat clean pretty easy. I don't exactly appreciate the giant 'ATD' logo on the seat but that's probably just me.

The center post is a gas filled hydraulic cylinder, just like other height adjustable chairs. The gas provides the pressure to push hydraulic fluid and raise the height of the seat. For the record, this is NOT pneumatic and it is correctly named 'hydraulic'.

Assembly is simple. The cylinder pushes in to a taper in the lower tray, then just attach the seat to the upper metal piece with 4 screws and push that on the cylinder. It seems pretty well made.

I wanted a short adjustable stool that could wheel around in my garage while I waxed and detailed my cars.I'm 240 lbs and The Advanced tool design Model ATD 81010 padded hydraulic creeper seat is extremely well built. All parts of this unit are sturdy and heavy duty. Its well worth the price. Its not Hydraulic but I don't care, it adjusts, and quickly. The wheels holders are a chrome covered metal with the rolling part made of a skate board type material, five of them keep you from tipping over. The three section metal tray with the wheels attached to it is sturdy enough to smack it with a hammer and not dent it. The center pole is heavy duty and has a metal plate that screws to the seat with heavy duty screws. If anybody tore the seat they had to have had a knife or screw driver in their pocket. I'm used to buying quality and I'll pay for it when necessary. I more than got my moneys worth. This seat is going to outlive me.

I use this when I am washing and polishing my cars. I am no kid anymore and this seat allows me to work on the lower sides of the cars. Very smooth wheels

This ATD creeper seat model functions well and looks good. There is nothing hydraulic in it. It is all pneumatic and the same way probably felt the customer that returned it back to the warehouse. So I got the product that was not originally packed. Price was too high for that kind of product condition but I did not want to take extra steps returning it.
Review Addition: After about 9 months of light use the plate that holds the seat to piston broke off. It is made of incredibly thin sheet metal (probably to keep the weight down for transportation) that may not withstand the forces when someone is sitting on it. It is a bad construction flaw and I do not recommend purchasing the product.

Really like this product. It came quickly, safely and super easy to set up. If you consider the free shipping it is just a couple of dollars more than the cheapest product without FS.

Wheel locks would merit five stars. Be careful when you stand up. I use a rubber door stop I purchased at my hardware store to chock one of the wheels and it works great.. Other than that buy it you will be pleasantly surprised.

Just what I wanted.. It serves the purpose extremely well. Light weight and flexiable heights when working in a seated position. Would definately recommend this product.

We purchased the ATD 81010 to use in our upholstery business. It's perfect for projects that require us to sit low to the floor. It's sturdy and quickly adjusts for changing heights. The wheels allow us to move freely around a project and it has storage for your tools. It's a great addition to our shop.

I purchased the ATD-81010 seat about 2 months ago. I use it every day at work. I am a technician and work in the field and my new seat goes with me on nearly every job. It is very stable and very well made. The seat is very comfortable and it rolls around so easy. I bought a cheap model from Harbor Freight and nearly killed myself falling off of it one day. It went to the curb that night and I ordered this the next day. the metal tray below really comes in handy and the 5 rollers keeps the seat very stable even when up as high as it goes. It is light weight and easy to carry around. I looked around and this seat was by far the best buy anywhere. Oh, Ya, forgot to tell ya, that you don't have to fumble around looking for a lever to raise or lower. Look around, you won't find a better one for the money.

I got this chair for my Dad for Christmas. The seat is large and very comfy to sit on. It has a plastic protective covering on the seat. The part that you use to make the chair go up and down on is nice because you can grab it from any position you are in since it is a ring. It seems to move well on the ground. Over all it is a great product.

This Creeper seat is nothing short of fantastic! The height control mechanism works flawlessly and there is no hunting around for a single lever, the ring does the thing! The on-board tool\cleaning stuff carrying feature is a step saver also, it's always right where you need it. It's extremely well built and handles my 260+ pounds with no effort at all. The wheels are just large enough to pass over the seams in the garage floor without stopping your movement or tipping over. I have a show car that has to be cleaned frequently and this makes doing the lower parts and wheels a piece of cake. No more back aches!! The price is fantastic and the quality is superb! I highly recommend this product!
