Interesting but falls short,

The book has some interesting suggestions but it's very weak at supporting what is said. For example the book discusses the strength of different past masters in drawing, but then offers up a reproduction of the drawing the author did himself. It seems to kill the point of talking about past masters of drawing. The author is pretty good a drawing mind you, but this book is nothing but that and some suggestions on how to draw like him. The issue here is I never heard of Barber till I got this book and I am not sure I trust anything he says. It would be better if he first sold me on why I'm interesting is seeing all his drawings, then sell me on how I can learn anything unique from them.
