Conclusion is a Whopper, August 26, 1999

Ignore the previous review if you want the truth unclouded by some sort of personal vendetta. In fact, this adventure provides the DM with a cool sahuagin city where the heroes have the chance to discover and and eliminate the machinations behind the sahuagin throne: an ancient evil secretly holds the sahugin in thrall, and if not stopped, creatures vanished for a millenium will be born again. Really, the history here is stunning, and well worth a read. Mr. Cordell's writing ability is well suited for RPGs, blending just the right amount of story (not too much) with keyed game information. I wish all TSR's authors wrote as well as him, and I don't exagerate when I say that.

Worst of the series, October 27, 1998

A bad ending to an otherwise great series. Don't be fooledby the size of the book not much inside. The city is basically a skeleton that must be fleshed out by the DM. A goofy plot twist enables the party to adventure in the city, your PC's will hate it. Definately seemed rushed out as it was not as organzied as the first two.

Another linear adventure from a one-trick author, June 26, 1999

Players are at the mercy of Cordell's plot-hammering yet again for DMs cruel enough to subject them to this hack's stories. Ultimately the players cannot affect the stories outcome. They are mere spectators to an event.
