I patched 2 small holes (each no bigger than a pinky nail) in my inflatable kayak with this. I think it helped to apply pressure to the patch while the glue dried--I stacked a good number of bean cans on my patches to weigh them down during the drying process. A year later, so far so good.

I had received a puncture from some shell covered rocks while on a rafting trip in the 99 Islands area of Nagasaki, Japan. I had 3 tubes on my raft, so was able to get back to land safety without having to swim towing my raft behind me in frigid waters. It was about a 2 inch gash, so I needed some heavy duty material to fix it. I received this product as expected. When I opened the package, I thought, wow, these really look like high quality patches... and they just might be.

I cleaned and prepped my boat for the location that needed the patch, dried it out in the sun for several days to ensure no residual sea water was on the other side of the hole, then put the patch on as directed by the instructions. The glue is not that good. It peeled off the boat, I was expecting a light bond or something. So, because it did that, I let it get tacky on both the boat and the patch, then put the patch on. Let it stand for the duration - I think it had to be somewhere around 12 to 14 hours. Then I inflated the boat in those exact chambers. It held, but I wanted to make sure it would hold. So, I left it inflated for the next day, which was a good sunny day, and the patch peeled off. The glue just is not good.

It says to leave the glue for a few minutes before application, but it dried almost immediately. Applied more and didn't wait as long.

Purchased 2 of these kits. One for each of our inflatable kayaks and already used it once. The kit comes in a resealable watertight bag and has several different colors and thicknesses of patching material along with a tube of glue. Super easy to use and the glue dries fast. The only down side is you have to cut the top of the package off to access the resealable bag so I recommend doing that before you put it in your boat to save a little hassle if you need to use it on the river.

This worked great. I used it to patch a number of holes on an old zodiac style dinghy with the rebery cloth type construction. Some of the holes were right up close ro the rubber attachments for the transome and it still worked beautifully. I just cut the patch to fit the contour of the transome mount. I did make sure to devise a way to apply good preasure for atleast 24 hours, i think this is key for a good bond. It couldnt be layed flat so i used a boat fender against the wall to apply the preasure. But this stuff worked great, i wish it came with more glue for future use.

No direction to speak of. Applied to a one inch seam break on a Sevylor FH 360 inflatable boat. The glue that came with the kit did not seal the patch material at all well to the leak. I applied four applications of Sevylor's Air Seal to the edges of the patch material to get a complete seal. If I had know that the glue that came with the kit was not very good I would have used the Air Seal glue to begin with to apply the patch.

I wish it included 1 big patch that could be cut to needed size rather than the variety pack. Other than that just followthe simple directions and you won't be disappointed.
