Excellent book for the right people,

For a non-mathematician the book is an excellent bridge from undergraduate level analysis to a more advanced/better understanding of the modern mathematical analysis tools. I found its approach very appealing, rigorous but readable. For the right person (non-mathematician scientist, and maybe the undergrad aspiring towards an applied mathematics career) it is an very good book. Had I run into it 10 years ago, it would have saved me lots of effort.
