My son's math teacher recommended this book as far better than the analysis textbook his school is using. I purchased the book to supplement the course book. My son has been using it as a reference guide as he does the homework for his class, and he has come to me several times to thank me for buying it, because it's far clearer and more comprehensible than the required book.

I find this book very well written with many great examples in application of mathematics across multiple topics in pre-caculus. Some of the examples may be tough but with correct instruction and appropriate understanding of core topics, this book provides accessible examples of each major focal point in many standardized tests. (ACT, SAT, etc)I use it in my class every day and expect other teachers to see the value of this book. It may not be the best teaching tool in the world, but what is? If a student is being home schooled I would recommend this book due to the sheer simplicity of explanation. It allows for students to look back in the section and understand key topics discussed in class, or initially self taught.
