From the Publisher

Morris takes an in-depth look into the critical where-to and when-to strategies, covering exactly where in North America the great trophies are found and how to pick the best time to hunt. He divides the fall into definable periods and discusses the pros and cons of each period in every possible situation. He shows how to develop a strategy that assures success before your hunt ever starts-moon phases, weather, cover, hunting pressure, food sources, the rut, the time of year, to name but a few. He gives strategies for better shooting, combating hunting pressure, hunting the biggest of the big, selecting high-odds stands, and more. Morris even unveils a revolutionary management strategy that will empower the private land manager to grow more and bigger deer than ever thought possible-even on tracts once thought too small to manage! This book is a must-have for any serious trophy hunter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a book for the dedicated sportsman., October 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Advanced Strategies for Trophy Whitetails (Hardcover)
This book is written by a true sportsman for sportsmen. Morris is a biologist who has applied his scientific studies to the field and compiled well over a decade of first hand observation and research. All this information is put into an easy to read book for all deer hunters to learn from. Easy to read with humorous accounts of hunting and research that not only entertains but also teaches the reader as well about certain situations. And finally, someone who has been able to explain this thing with the moon! I've looked, searched, and have finally found the truth involving deer, the moon, and the rut. Thank you David Morris.
