It came with easy to use instructions and mounted easily.

So it was the mount moving due to recoil on each shot that was taking me off target.

The set screws came with it are nice, the holes they thread into however are not.

Thank Amazon for your understanding, quick responce and patience!
I had ordered the wrong scope mount for my .303 Enfield.
Once I recieved the correct mount, the No.1 Mk3, I have mounted it and looks great! I have not had a chance to make it to the range.
Will keep you posted!

I was excited to receive my scope mount for my enfield. I am going to make this a thorough review, as I was a bit disappointed.

Firstly, the mount feels cheap. Not $40 cheap, more like $10-15. The set screws came with it are nice, the holes they thread into however are not. I literally had to heli-coil the vertical hole because there was so much slop, one can literally run the setscrew through entirely by finger pressure with no tools!

My next complaint is the mount very easily causes failure to eject. Granted, there are only a select few manufactures that sell scope mounts for the enfield, I still want to get the most bang for my buck, literally. This is another department in which I had to modify the mount. The machining used to create the reliefs as to allow a shell to eject properly is simple, and not well thought out. I chose to use a pneumatic grinder to remove material from the right side to allow for greater clearance. And ultimately solve this issue.

I have 2 enfield rifles, and before attempting any modifications to the mount, I tried it on both with exact same results. If you don't mind modding things, this is the scope mount for you.

All things aside, I chose to loc-tite my set screws, and have gotten excellent repeat results with my rifle and an $80 50x scope. It has repeat accuracy, even when the scope is removed. I just ensure I use the same slots each time. Hope this review helps some folks out.

Make sure to use loctite on the screws, The mount pops off without it. Otherwise product works as it is intended.

Installed easily. Solid as a rock after nearly 40 rounds. Love the fact that I didn't have to modify a beautiful vintage firearm. Very pleased.

I bought this scope mount using Amazon and of course it came quickly. It came with easy to use instructions and mounted easily. I've shot my rifle a number of times and it has kept it's position.

Summary: This mount looks good, has a low profile, and does not require tapping your vintage SMLE. Heck, it might even work. Learn from my mistakes if you can.

First attempt I had it mounted very snugly (or so I thought) and on the first shot was only off center by a few inches. What luck! I commenced zeroing and seriously thought there was something wrong with either my scope or that I was turning the wrong direction because I kept getting farther off target. Shot #6 the scope and this mount flew off and hit me in the forehead. So it was the mount moving due to recoil on each shot that was taking me off target.

I gave up but decided to try again months later, using loctite on the set screws and tightening to the very verge of destroying the allen wrench. I took it to the range and even though I had it tucked in nicely to the receiver, just like the first time, it was so far off zero that when looking through the scope I couldn't even tell you what direction the bullet went. Forunately I had help spotting, but was so far off I couldn't correct nearly enough with the scope adjustments.

So as near as I can tell, you need to try to use a scope and boresighter while mounting this scope mount to make sure it's somewhere close to zero. This will require a good deal of finesse and quite possibly an extra set of hands. I don't think I'll bother, because I know the iron sights on my Mk III will get me 4 in a row in a man-sized at 300 yards.
