Ok, so here's the deal, the thing is made of cheap-ish plastic, that's problem one, but I already knew that so I was prepared. Problem two is that this barrel mod is NOT usable on an 18.5 inch barrel. I tried to put it on my 12 Ga. Maverick 88, with an 18.5 inch barrel. The mount is a good half-inch longer than the barrel, so when you fire it, the shot will destroy the mount. That's it, case closed, the mount sucks. Also, just for the record, if you have a vented rib barrel, it won't work on that either. (not a problem I had, but just wanted everyone to know). Hope you have a better experience with this than I did.
