this fit my mossberg 500 perfectly just dont over tighten or u can cause your safety to malfunction and that is just a bad situation i had to loosten mine about an 1/8 of a turn it is still very snug and i have fired about 300 shells with no need to retighten

I bought this stock to replace my youth stock on my Mossberg 500. It ended up being far more comfortable than I imagined. Very ergonomic and easy toninstall with the right screw drivers and tools.

Just be very sure that the stock will fit your gun before you buy it. That is the only down-side. That and the fact that it's not an adjustable stock such as on the M-4 assault rifle, but for it's price, it is a very good upgrade.

Originally, I was going to put a pistol grip on my new 12ga.. I bought it mainly for home defense. I read many reviews saying most people preferred the original stock on the weapon even after trying the pistol grip. It provides better handling ability since a 12ga. has a pretty good kick. So, I thought I would try this stock and combine the two. I would have the solid stock and the pistol grip as well.
It took all of about 5 minutes to change the stocks. Use a 1/2 inch socket and there's no problem. The Maverick 88 takes no other adapters but the one used inside the stock under the bolt. That makes this stock fit very well to the rifle. I had absolutely zero movement. It's as solid as the original. I placed my Limbsaver butt pad on the new stock and it seems to fit a little looser than it did on the original but I'll still use it.
I would highly recommend this stock. I read a lot of reviews on those tactical stocks with the adjustable butts. Many talked about looseness and the feeling of having something flimsy on their weapon. This is why I chose to go with this solid stock and I think I made a great decision.

I was very pleased with my purchase. The stock fits perfectly on my winchester 1300. Seems to be well made, but time will tell. Its sleek design looks great. The stock butt pad its bulky and will get caught in your clothing when bringing it up to your shoulder. A little electric tape around the rubber will fix this problem. When installing the stock your must remove the butt pad by unscrewing two very tight screws, I'm not sure why ATI just didn't leave the pad off. It would saved a tired wrist. But overall a great addition to any shotty. Keep in mind that if you are replacing this with a pistol grip you will need to purchase a full size stock screw.

If you prefer a solid stock vs collapsible, this is the one. I read some reviews stating that the LOP (length of pull) was too long, but it's the same as the standard "adult" stock, 14". Looks like 1/2" could be cut off if needed, but not much more. Pistol grip makes it easier to pull snug into shoulder and feels ergonomically correct. I bought this for my Mossberg, but it comes with adapter blocks for Remington, Winchester and Norinco. I was skeptical of the adapter blocks but it fits perfectly without any play.

~~PROS~~ Great price! Solid construction.

~~CONS~~ "Action/slide release" is awkward using my thumb--not as easy to unlock opposed to traditional stock. Adapter blocks needed some filing to get correct bolt fit.

*With all cons noted, I still give it 5 stars.

I bought this to replace a pistol grip on my mossberg 500, but they failed to mention that the pistol grip bolt wasn't long enough to attach this stock to the firearm. the stock itself is fine, but a little heads up about the bolt not being included would have been nice.

Out of the box this wouldn't fit my 20 guage Remmy. After the Dremel and band saw it now fits but is thicker than the receiver. Product description say it will fit either 12 or 20 guage but is made for the thicker 12 guage. More involved than "bolt on" so if you have the tools and are handy then you can make it work, otherwise move along, nothing to see here.

This was a great buy for my 870, it may be a little long for some shooters though, great for me but I am 6' 4" but other wise easy too install and looks great.
