A waste of time, money and paper,
By Rene Pogel (Columbia, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Advanced Video Coding: Principles and Techniques, Volume 7: The Content-based Approach (Advances in Image Communication) (Hardcover)
What a waste of time, money and 'trees'. The book is badly written with most of the material crudely 'copied' off the MPEG standard documentations. There are many typos (if ya have to plagiarize, at least do a simple spell check!).

simplifying advance video comm.s language,
By murphy alabi (london, U.K.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Advanced Video Coding: Principles and Techniques, Volume 7: The Content-based Approach (Advances in Image Communication) (Hardcover)
i found this book very good for people working in areas of advance digital application, as even specialising in this area of technology require vast amount of research effort, this at least introduce the essentials and in some cases go well further advance. i think it's brilliant. i happen to come accross it working on a video segmentation project and was glad for the discovery
