These are tough! Good for older students also.
My daughter's sixth grade teacher gave them some of these analogies for practice. Some of them are really tough, even for me! She did not have the basic knowledge to answer many of them. Examples--satire:slapstick::parable:__ a)Aesop b)entertaining c)lesson d)allegory. Twain:Finn::Dickens:__ a)Sawyer b)Scrooge c)fictitious d)pseudonym...

No Answers for the Review Pages???
I don't see the answers for the review pages. These analogies makes me say "I am not smarter than a 5th grader."

Twain:Finn::Dickens:__ a)Sawyer b)Scrooge c)fictitious d)pseudonym. pedometer:foot::tachometer:__ a)distance b)car c)speedometer d)thermometer. I think these would be good practice for older students as well. Good analogies can be hard to find, so try this book if you need practice!
