I always purchase advantage for my kitty and saw this deal on amazon so purchased it right away to save a few bucks from petsmart/petco! This product came quickly and was in its original package with the medicine enclosed. No complaints, will probably buy from this site again. thanks!

I put this on my cat and within 12 hours, hes not scratching nearly as much, and all the fleas coming off of him are either dead or close to dead.

I didnt purchase this from amazon as I needed it right away so i went to petsmart, In the future I will purchase this from amazon.

If we have any issues later down the road I will modify my review but I dont forsee that being an issue, My cat is almost back to normal.

Also we have tried the normal advantage, the hartz brand, front line, all of them didnt work for us.

This is the only flea treatment that has worked. It took 4-6 complete treatments to break the cycle. Along with other flea treatments to the house things are good so far. Frontline did nothing for his fleas. I think our fleas have grown immune to frontiline.

Which makes me wonder if fleas build up an immunity to these types of medications for pets. We have four cats all indoors however we have seen a flea problem the past year. Barely three weeks ago I used Frontline Plus with -0- results! Came back from vacation and the cats (one in particular) was infested with fleas. I went out and bought Advantage 2 at Petsmart since I couldn't stand to see the cats suffer while waiting for a delivery. The one cat literally had fleas falling off her right and left after application. The other cats merely scratched a couple of times and were fine. I have never seen a product work so well and so quickly! Now we will see if fleas build up an immunity or not since I am now switching to Advantage 2. Frontline will never get my money again!

We have one dog and 2 cats, and never had flea problems living in northern NY state. Within hours of arriving in Mississippi our dog was completely infested with fleas. We gave him his initial treatment. A week later, he still had a few fleas so we treated him again as recommended on the instructions. After that we saw no fleas, and have kept him on the monthly schedule with no recurrence. We also treat the cats monthly to prevent the dog fleas from infesting them. It is very easy to use, and does not appear to cause any toxicity to the animals. This stuff is expensive, but it works very well, and is much less toxic than the flea powders,collars,shampoos from the past. Its active ingredient is imidacloprid, a neurotoxin which is more toxic to insects than to dogs, cats or humans. (Years ago I almost had a cat die in my arms after applying flea spray made by a well-known pet supply company, so I am very cautious about the toxicity issue.)The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cost.

Advantage 11 doesn't work. I've used Advantage faithfully for years and had to purchase the "new improved Advantage 11" from my pet store this time. I live in Florida and have managed to keep my indoor/outdoor cats flea free for years, this year they got fleas. I used it right away, it had been a month, but I noticed a couple of weeks later they were scratching so I gave them another dose about a week early. Now it's a week later and they still have fleas! I'm afraid to let them in the house until I can fix this. I hope I can find some of the original Advantage still.

Edit update: I contacted Bayer by email and someone actually called me. She told me that the main ingredient in the Advantage was the same, but they had added others. She also told me that they had some trouble with the volume of the medicine in some of the batches. Bayer sent me a 9 pack of Advantage 11 for free, and it seems to be working fine.

Works great on keeping my small cat (Andy is 9 pounds) flea free. I've tried frontline, and it doesn't work nearly as well. Plus, the price I paid online for this product is at least 25% cheaper than what I would have paid at the store.

I always bought Advantage to control fleas on my pets (dog/cat). It always worked until now. Advantage II is NOT the same as Advantage. It does NOT control fleas at all. I called the company & they suggested I put it on every 2 weeks. Tried this twice & I noticed the animals not acting normally for about a day (laying around more than normal, no energy). Still no control over fleas. I am getting a refund because it does not work like the original Advantage. Don't waste your money.

On our second dose of this. Waited three weeks the first time. Didn't work. Hoping to see improved results. So far, it sucks.

I ordered Advantage II for cats 5-9 lbs. I received a package for 9+ lb. cats. I spent money for nothing because I just gave the order to a neighbor.
