5.0 out of 5 stars My Name is Weena, and I'm an Athletic Supporter May 3, 2012
By Weena
Format:Kindle Edition
Nicole's hockey-playing ex-boyfriend basically calls her a hockey-hoe on national television after she dumps his buff ass. Since she works for the Caribou hockey team in communications/PR and doesn't want to bring them bad press, she vows never to date a hockey dude again.

If it was me, I'd proudly be wearing one of those department store name badges that says, "Hi, My Name is Weena. Ask Me About My Vagina," around the office. I mean, if you're going to sit me down at the hockey player buffet, I'm gonna eat. A LOT. Probably until I barf or catch some social disease, and even then I'm not sure I'd stop, because...ya know...HOCKEY PADS on tight HOCKEY PLAYING BUTTS. That's all I'm sayin'.

So, at this point, the Universe rolls its eyes at its fellow Mean Girls Posse and throws Logan Heller her way. Logan's been traded to the Caribous and is trying to make the best of a bad situation, and he runs into Nicole with her no-dating vow. And it's smothered in hot, gooey sexual tension. And I'm thinking they should spread that allllll over some nice hockey pads and lick it alllll off.

And whaddya know! They do! And vows and panties and hockey pads are flying all over the place, just like I like 'em. Nicole futilely tries to patch up her vow with athletic tape and maybe some lube, but that ain't working, and her vow wants some more of that hot-ass hockey-man action, so Nicole convinces Logan to keep things on the down low.

But, see, Logan is a decent guy, and he actually has FEELINGS (and I would like him to rub those feelings all over me, but this ain't my story, more's the pity), and he struggles with not being able to date Nicole like they would in a normal relationship.

5.0 out of 5 stars mmm mmm good May 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The third installment in the Heller brothers series delivers. Mrs. Jamieson does it again. Both Nicole & Logan are adorable. Even when you want to strangle one of them for being an idiot. KJ writes such wonderful characters. Nicole is a strong woman despite her upbringing by parents who had no qualms about making her feel less than mediocre. Logan struggles with his place in his family of hockey over achievers. The heat is enough to melt the ice. The ending came a little to abruptly & kind of out of nowhere, but when I'm reading a good book the end always seems to come too quickly.

I wanted the answer to the burning question about the paternity of baby Emily. Alas we did not get it. That is okay as long as KJ writes another story for Jase & Remi. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PRETTY PLEASE!

My only complaint is the cover. The cover stinks! The model looks like Nicole, but I can't see her character ever dressing in that get up. Throw on some hockey pads, maybe, or some stilettos & silk ropes. Did the publishers even read her character before they picked this out?

5.0 out of 5 stars Smokin' Hot April 30, 2012
By P. Phan
Format:Kindle Edition
Kelly Jamieson has got me hooked on hockey players with her Heller Brother series and this one was smokin' hot! I adored Logan especially the way he treated Nicole with such love, patience, respect and passion. And the passion between them was spontaneous and hot, hot, hot! I loved that Logan was able to breakdown some of the wall that Nicole built around her due to the scandal that surrounded her and hockey players. Sometimes I felt she was too stubborn for her own good and I could not wait for Logan to get thru to her. I cheered when that day came and she was finally able to give him her trust and heart. I cannot wait to read the next book in this wonderful series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved February 19, 2013

Review Copy from the Publisher

This one starts off with a bang. It pretty much opens with a sex scene. Bold. However, it works for this story. That is how they started their relationship. The complicated feelings came later. About, 20 minutes later *rolls eyes* OK.

Before we really get into this I am going to tell you that I rated this high. The reason I did that is because this story was exactly as promised. The blurb gives you a really good idea of what this story is about with no pretense. Do I think that the characters should have developed a little bit more? Probably. Was the dialogue a teeny bit flat? Yes. But all in all, I think it was a personal bias for time passing in order for me to believe in a relationship. I can't really punish the story for that. The sex scenes were great, the premise was believable to a certain extent and I think a lot of people will enjoy this short story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Logan is all anyone needs April 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I absolutely loved this third book of Kelly's hockey series(not sequel, series). I promised myself going into this book that I would not like Logan more than Jason from Breakaway, but I think I do!

Logan has it all! He's, of course, hot, he's charming, and he's a gentleman. And he has just enough need for control in the bedroom to make him irresistible. (For those of you who have read the SERIES (not sequel), he's sort of combination of Jason and Tag) He does have a little baggage. Even though he is the third of four sons, he suffers slightly from being the "middle child". He is an excellent hockey player, but seems to live in the shadows of his two older brothers. Getting traded, among other events throughout the story, causes him stress in his personal need to impress his parents (who would never judge him IMO).

Nicole is much like Logan. She lives in shadows of famous parents and brother; never quite feeling "good enough". She meets Logan after a disastrous event with one of the other players. Swearing off hockey players forever ultimately causes her and Logan a lot of stress. Neither can deny the attraction to one another. Logan has to work hard to prove to her that not all hockey players are jerks and it doesn't matter what people think of her as long as she knows the truth.

This story was wonderful and I absolutely fell in love with Logan. I highly recommend this book as well as the others in this series (not sequel). I recommend reading them in order, but it is not necessary; this book could easily stand alone.

I cannot wait for Matt's story!!!
