I thought this killed ticks as well as fleas, but it doesn't. If that's the problem Frontline or K9 Advantix would be better. However, this beats others found in retail stores that produce large greasy areas in long haired dogs.

Front-line quit working for my pets here in Oklahoma. Had to switch to something that would work like Advantage. It just keeps fleas off but does a good job of that. But ticks got bad too so now I switch to K-9 Advantix II and it does the trick for both buggers.
