This is a great easel! It's a bit heavy, but that's because it's metal. It's so easy to set up and very sturdy. The only thing I wish is that the bottom shelf was movable. All around a great easel, and I don't have to worry if it gets dropped or my fat cat jumps on it. That's a bonus as he has broken an expensive elm easel. I love the legs. They are twist telescoping, so I don't have to watch for little clips that can break off. I give it an A++

The only things I liked about this one is not many screws to tight and the size of it. For my height I was having a tough time carrying and assembling my French easel. The length of the legs is not impressive. I am 5 feet tall and still I will need a stool to sit on. Yet I will keep it till I buy a better one as this is more comfortable in assembling. But I would not buy this if I saw it in a store.
