blech.... definitely not gourmet chocolate, but to a 2.5 year old who was actively experiencing christmas for the time, it was the most delicious stuff in the world. it was a wonderful experience sitting down with my kiddo every night and opening the appropriate door of the advent calender for 24 days in a row. he ate the chocolate while i read him the poems. we will be buying another one next season for sure!

I remember having a chocolate advent calendar every Christmas growing up. Its hard to find them in store for my 3 boys so when I found them on Amazon for a decent price I was very happy. The kids say the chocolate is very good and they enjoy the little bit of story every day. I will buy again next year!

Candy's OK, the chocolates are wrapped pretty and the rhyming phrases are cute. However, it's not truly a countdown calendar -- it's designed to count up: you open the first chocolate on Dec 1st, second on Dec 2nd, etc.
