1.0 out of 5 stars Not For Children Or Anyone Else, August 22, 2010

This review is from: The Adventure Begins (Animals of Farthing Wood) (Paperback)
I love British literature for children especially about animal life so I was really looking forward to finding a new author. I won't be reading this author again. Simplistic and moralistic, no interesting real nature facts distinguishing the characters. A plot one could predict completely from the first page. It seems to be a story written from a hastily made cartoon that was slapped together without any thought of real nature or any thought to what makes a good story. I am fine about personifying animals if the characters are appealing and believable. This wasn't. I am a storyteller at my local library and I knew the children there wouldn't stand for it for a minute. So it promptly went into the Library Donation sack where I'm sure it will be sold to some other sucker. No librarian in their right mind would pull it out as a desired book for their shelves.
