4.0 out of 5 stars A Teachers Bedside Table Book., January 20, 2001

This review is from: Adventure in the Classroom: Using Adventure to Strengthen Learning and Build a Community of Life-Long Learners (Paperback)
For three years now I have been checking this book out of my local library, juicing it for every little tid-bit it has to offer. Mary Henton carefully describes a philosophy for guiding students toward being life-long-learners. She outlines the AITC model and explains the philosophies behind it and how it has survived through frequent education reforms. This is not another classroom manual that will produce brilliant children. This is a book that suggests a philosophy that can enhance teachers learning. I'm sick of checking it out, so I've bought my own copy and have put it next to my John Dewey and Ted Seizer.
