This is an absolutely fantastic compilation of live sets put together by the best radio station in the Dallas area (before the dark times...before Clear Channel). These acoustic sets were performed in the studio of (then) 94.5 KDGE "The Edge" in Dallas in the early 90s. This is a great chance to get some rare unplugged versions of well known songs by some great artists of the era.

Like the reviewer above me, I also live in Fort Worth Texas and have enjoyed theis CD for several years now. I used it as a sampler of music I was unfamiliar with, and have purchased many of the artist's works featured on this disc. The Station that put out the CD is still here (THE EDGE), but has changed from 94.5 on the dail to 102.1 FM, and more or less still plays alternative rock, but the songs on this CD were from a show that I believe aired late on Sunday evenings, and featured well known artists playing acoustic versions of their works. This is a great CD, and would highlight any collection. The reason I was looking at this site was in the hope that there were more collections of THE ADVENTURE CLUB SESSIONS that I did not know about. No such luck. Sigh.

This is one of the best "various artists" thing on the market. Blur, Frank Black, Cranberries, The Posies, Jellyfish and OTHERS-what's not to like? The album is a solid collection of exclusive acoustic performances(guitar mostly) of a quality so good you will be amazed.
Too bad that, in the end, Suede with " My Insatiable One" just ruins the whole picture of otherwise acoustic masterpieces by great artists.
