Book Description

Adventure Double August 23, 2005
Dive into two action-packed adventures!

In Arctic Adventure, Hal and Roger Hunt are asked by their father to find unusual animals for his collection. In this harsh, freezing environment, they survive killer whales, grizzly bears and a wild storm but an evil man may turn out to be the deadliest threat the boys have to face.

In Safari Adventure, the boys are hot on the trail of a dangerous gang of poachers when they join forces with Mark Crosby, the warden of the Tsavo national park in Kenya. The gang are butchering the park’s magnificent wildlife and Hal and Roger must track down the poachers’ elusive leader, Blackbeard, before they too become victims.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic kids' adventure book., December 17, 2011

This review is from: Adventure Double: Arctic & Safari Adventures (Paperback)
Great classic adventure book for elementary school kids. Our kids love these sorts of books. Books like this one really helped get our son interested in reading. A few people complain that Price's books aren't politically correct enough (the characters do things like capture animals for zoos), but the book is 60 years old. The world was different then.

My son likes these Willard Price adventure stories. I wanted to buy the whole series for him. The "Adventure Double" books seemed like a good deal, especially when you can get them used.
