I had the best time reading this book. I tend to be a rough it type...camping, backcountry adventures, skiing, climbing, etc. more than I am the 5-star hotel type, but this book appeals to all!

Stefanie Michaels had such a down to earth way of connecting rough-it types & "Princess" travelers with exotic locations around the world. Her book is an upbeat, easy to follow, humerous, enticing guide to all sorts of places I'd never even considered venturing!

Each chapter has quick facts about the location, her own personal experiences with locals, hotels, do's & don'ts, and all the website info for each destination. She even supplies airline connections that service the area.

I've always wanted to go to Africa and now that I've read about her experience and have all the info I need to make my own connection...I'll be writing that one in on the calendar.

Even with the urge and the energy for the 'schlep' I have been overwhelmed at the thought of making it happen. Who do you call, where do you go? Is is safe? Following in someone else's footsteps when heading to exotic spots gives me confidence. Now, I feel empowered to do something about it...and 'schleping' is optional! Thanks Stefanie Michaels!
