Author and photographer David Weintraub divides his time between San Francisco and Cape Cod. Adventure Kayaking: Trips on Cape Cod is his third book for Wilderness Press. His others are North Bay Trails: Outdoor Adventures in Marin, Napa, and Sonoma Counties and East Bay Trails, which was the best-selling title for the Sierra Club's Oakland bookstore in 1998 and 1999. David's photographs have appeared in numerous books and magazines, including Audubon, Backpacker, Sierra, Smithsonian, and Sunset. His articles on photography and outdoor adventure appear in Photo District News, Outdoor Photographer, and other publications.

David Weintraub is a writer, editor, photographer, and educator based in Aiken, SC. He is the author of eight travel books and many articles for publications such as Photo District News, Outdoor Photographer, and Hemispheres. David has a master's degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina, where he is a full-time instructor teaching visual communications and writing. David writes two columns each month for the website Black Star Rising, "Notes from the VisCom Classroom" and "Eye on Image-Making."
