Product Description

On a distant planet, in another dimension, there is a struggle for freedom against an insane tyrant. Gorglin Thild, also known as Lord Lightning, is taking Adventure Land by force. His powerful magic is turning the land into a hellish nightmare, while huge armies of monsters invade neighboring countries. The only thing standing in his way are the heroes who have come together to fight for the freedom and for the lives of the good people of Adventure Land. Leading them is Bear, a seven-foot-tall talking grizzly bear. This epic tale begins the story of courage, cruelty, love and sacrifice. Swept into the middle of this turmoil are four teenagers from Earth, who step through a mysterious portal, and find themselves trapped in this strange new land. Benny Thompson and his friends find that they have undiscovered strengths and talents as they join in the fight against evil oppression. Adventure Land is an enchanted land that has dinosaurs, magic, sword-fighting, wars, romance and comedy.

1.0 out of 5 stars A joke., November 21, 2009
By Noah Leben (Arizona, USA) - See all my reviews
Let me open by saying that I am well aware the author was 13 when he wrote this novel. That being said, that does not change the fact that it is now a published book available for sale on Amazon... and therefore should be held to the same standards as any other novel. That in mind... this book is terrible. From the first paragraph alone, it is clear that this novel is going to be filled with superfluous description that serves no end... other than for the author to show off what he believes to be his astounding talents. You will be subjected to lines such as "Bear wasn't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill bear," and "The beast was trying to impale the small kitten." And let's not forget this witty dialogue: "'Easy little one. You're all right now. A gray cat with black stripes, huh. Where are you from, I wonder? Can you talk? Cat got your tongue?'" Really, now? The prose is laughable, characterization shoddy and the plot is treading old water. If you're honestly considering buying this I invite you to read the plot summary and try your best not to laugh. If this review seemed harsh, that was not the intent, it's just that this new trend of publishing young author's work is quite annoying... while they may be talented for their age, that does not mean they are capable of producing anything that anyone wants to read! Maybe as the years go by and they've gained some insight into the workings of our world they'll be able to produce something of literary value. But this... this is nothing but the aimless rambling of thirteen year-olds everywhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Book I've Ever Read, September 29, 2009
This book is horrible. It is even worse than the writing of Stephenie Meyer. I burned it in my fire pit after reading the first chapter. The author shows little creativity and possesses absolutely no literary ability's, unless the ability to write a bad book counts. If your considering buying this book, consider this: the only good reviews, are reviews of the author's family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Way cool story. Very exciting entertainment. Bear rocks!, September 3, 2007
This book has the big screen written all over it. It's destined to become an action/adventure classic!
