By no means is this a trauma center, but for something that weighs so little, it is amazing how many useful products are in this kit. I keep it in my backpack so I have not tested to see just how waterproof it is but it is basically a ziplock bag.

Best thing is the tweezers, great for removing ticks, mole skin stickiness leaves something to be desired (came off quick). Has most of what you would need but you might want to add something just in case, like maybe some good scissors. Would make any backpacking trip easier to deal with, cause its light and small, but might not be everything you need.

Lightweight, waterproof, everything I need in a first-aid kit without being too big and bulky. Perfect for carrying in my backpack on a mountaineering vacation!

This is a great kit for a great price. I didn't know where to start on creating my own first aid kit for backpacking. I read online on what you need to create one and that you can save a few bucks instead of getting a kit. Trying to create your own kit can be time consuming and frustrating so I ended up purchasing this kit isntead. It has just about everything you need. You can customize as well. You can remove what you don't need and add what you might need. It is very light and doesn't take up much space. It is also waterproof which is very important. For $20, free prime shipping and no tax you definitely can't go wrong with this kit. Especially if you don't know where to start and are crunched for time.

Went on a pretty rigorous (30 miles in 3 days) backpacking trip with 6 other guys. We used most of the mole skin, and right at the end of the trip I tripped and cut my knee. It wasn't too bad, but my friend used the first aid in this kit to clean and bandage up the wound. I will never go on another trip without it!

Lots of nice goodies in here. Tiny roll of duct tape is so useful for emergency repairs to tents, shoes... etc (It is duct tape, I could go on forever).
In all seriousness, there a fantastic variety of items for all kinds of situations and offers peace of mind.

Just what I needed to be prepared to handle minor first aid or more serious injuries on the trail. I added a QuikClot sponge and some 3M Steri Strips. I've only used a first aid kit twice in many years of hiking and riding, but when I have needed it it was worth its weight in gold.

Just about perfect for a lightweight hiking first aid kit.
As others have noted, there may be a couple of items you might want to swap out (I did), but otherwise I can't think of any negatives. |
