The Peek and Find books by Maurice Pledger are really great. We have several others (Billy Bunny, Bobby Bear) but Olivia Owl is our favorite and this is a second copy for our next grandchild. Beautiful animal illustrations are hidden under flaps on each page with a cute little storyline. Although the books are recommended for age 3+ we started reading these with our granddaughter at 15 months and have read each book many times. You do have to be a bit gentle with the flaps, especially if they produce some movement, but we don't worry about a little damage. The used books that we bought from Amazon connected vendors gave excellent service and excellent condition books.

The product description states this is for a four to eight year old, but my toddler granddaughters are crazy about it.
Olivia is a fluffy baby owl who was lonely because she couldn't find anyone to play with so she sets off to look for another owl. Along the way she encounters many other animals who become her friends. The pictures are charming and the lift up flaps are clever. A cute book that is sure to satisfy your toddlers.

My 2 1/2 year old has finally reached the point where he can respectfully enjoy and explore these kind of flip and discover books. The story line in this one is lovely. These books by Mr. Pledger have beautiful artwork and very skillfully designed flip ups that make the animals look and move in a realistic way. Definitely worth adding these to your 'good books' collection.
