More About the Author
Jerry Sittser (PhD, University of Chicago) is a professor of religion at Whitworth College. He holds a master of divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and a doctorate in history from the University of Chicago. He is the author of several books, including When God Doesn't Answer Your Prayer and The Will of God as a Way of Life.

Ever wanted to have your very own sage tell you what God's disciplines actually look like in real life in an actionable and thought-provoking way? The Adventure does just that and Sittser has a way of fleshing out his points to hit you where it really counts. This is not a book for the faint hearted but if you're serious about your walk, then pick one of these up.

This is Jerry's first book and even after all these years, it's still a masterpiece on the basics of walking with Jesus. Jerry's descriptive introductions to each chapter via his recollections of his summer with the Sage create an anticipation for making new discoveries about God's perspective on our relationship with him.

Jerry Sittser does an excellent job of expanding on some of the principles of the Christian life. Each chapter starts with a short story, to which you are able to relate, regardless of age. Definitely recommended!
