5.0 out of 5 stars Good Read for Children and Adults
It's a book about a prince who discovers himself along his journey. A prince with a sickness who discovers tools to change. Lots of hypnotic language for the experience NLP'er or beginning neophyte in Neuro Linguistic Programming. The person who reads the books gets to change rather than the person listening to the story. Good book for children when they are sleepy,...

O.K ... I am a huge fan of Bandler, but not of his attempts at writing these things. Bandler is a genius face to face. He has many great books.

But some of that is lost when putting things into words in the form of a story, I don't think he has the talent Milton had ...

This is a weird book. I found some things of great value in it, however my advice is this: if...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great storytime book for children and adults, January 4, 1999
This review is from: The Adventures of Anybody (Paperback)
I really enjoyed it. I read it to my nephew Rodan a few years ago and my cousin, Eden.

The trick is the person reading it changes along with the person being read to.

Want to create immediate personality change?

This book is for you.

Its the great adventure of a specific person who happens to discover himself while on that beautiful and skillful journey picking up magical tools for transformation.

Dont's just read this review. Own the book! NOW!

Own for the future, I can't wait to read for my future children and relatives.

I have given a few copies of this to some friends as well.

This is a special treat for practitoners of Neuro Linguistic Programming.

I recommend this highly to anybody but most specifically somebody who wants to change.

This book is a alchemic toolbox for magic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hypnotic language, engaging fiction, May 11, 2000

Bandler does a wonderful job at circular, enigmatic, and yet satisfying fiction. He does an even better job at showing beautiful uses of hypnotic language and hypnotic metaphors. The entire book is also a wonderful hypnotic cure for ennui, both by being entertaining and by being a powerful set of hypnotic suggestions for exactly that purpose.

A beautiful demonstration of Ericksonian principles wrapped into a package any child (any almost any adult) will love; in that respect, the book is a little like Grimm's Fairy Tales.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not for the critic, October 23, 2000

This book is written like a fairy tale. Adults may have to let go of their preconceptions in order to enjoy this one. If you read this book, I suggest you use your imagination, and just be prepared to let Richard take you where he will...

I have read pieces of this book to friends, and they have all zoned out and enjoyed it.

This is a weird book. I found some things of great value in it, however my advice is this: if you have already a collection of Bandlers' works, get this. If not, or if you have no experience with him, do NOT get it - it might turn you off.

OK?

5.0 out of 5 stars Huh? What? Uh. Um. No! Yup. Oh. What? But . . . Oh. I see., October 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Adventures of Anybody (Paperback)
Flipped. The Adventures of Anybody is a timeless fable about the quest for truth. Turns out truth is a crystal-clear enigma. What an engaging and enjoyable read. And what a wonderful addition to the chest-high shelf near the doorway in. The student of NLP will find underlining and highlighting the NLP principles irresistable . . . and challenging. The reader unfamiliar with Richard Bandler will be compelled to find out more about him and about what takes him mick. By the way, how can a door be a jar?

5.0 out of 5 stars Weird! Trancy! Pure Bandler!, October 4, 2006

This review is from: The Adventures of Anybody (Paperback)
Richard Bandler is the master of telling a story, within a story, within a story. Personally this is one of my favorite books of his.

Many other books by Bandler are hard to read, on the other hand, this one is entertaining, though sometimes confusing in a fun way.

It is a book that is best shared.

Read this book to your kids... if you want them to be mentally flexible.

Read this book with your sweetheart, if you want to enjoy some great laughs together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Got me even with me watching hard!, October 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Adventures of Anybody (Paperback)
A piece of "fiction" written by Dr. Bandler with such mixed descriptions and reviews that my curiosity wanted to see for myself. The book was very enjoyable and has enough (or more than enough) NLP and Eriksonian elements interwoven to subtly and substantially benefit me. This despite me being enguarde and initially annoyed by its language.

Dr. Bandler and his wife are characters (though not explicitly) in the story, and his characterization of her is a beautiful vision of his feelings for her. However he believes, I sincerely hope he enjoys her presence again.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Adventures of Anybody, January 26, 2009
This review is from: The Adventures of Anybody (Paperback)
This is a wildly esoteric trip into new perspectives told at a deeper unconscious level.
Don't buy this book if you want to have a literal understanding of the fable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crafty, October 12, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Adventures of Anybody (Paperback)
Crafty is the only word I can use to describe this book. It really shows the depth of understanding that Bandler has of linguistics.

The story is, on the whole, nothing too spectacular, and reads like like a very long children's fable, but the point of the book is not the story. Read the words, and maybe you'll get it. I think that for some people, this one may just fly right over their heads.
